Harley Franklin (Slim) Thompson
07/11/1945 - 05/13/2013
Pastor, Apostle, Missionary, Evangelist, Singer,
Teacher, Friend, Family, Father, Grandfather

Slim had many titles. I had the rare opportunity to call him almost all of the above. Slim went to be with the Lord on May 13th 2013. He is survived by 2 Siblings:
Milo and Suzie
four children:
Harley, Brian, Jason and Summer
and five grandchildren:
Nick, Kyle, Michael, Cierra and Faith
and a church family that is too numerous to count.

In the early years Slim was the lead singer of Big River Band and played with many great country singers of the time. He accepted the Lord on "April 10th 1975 in a bathroom at 2 oclock in the morning" and after years of running Joshua (a half way house), he became the Pastor of Tree of Life in Hutsonville IL. He continued traveling all over US and Canada as an evangelist reaching tens of thousands and eventually went on to be a missionary in Africa, South America, Europe and others.

His goal was to reach one million souls for Jesus and I believe he did reach that goal years ago and those lives will reach even more.

Besides front page, site remains as Slim last had it. God bless and Jesus loves you.
